Sibling Fun

I am not sure there is anything more joyous and wonderful than watching your two children play together. Here Finn and Niamh discovered on their own just how much fun it can be to have a brother/sister. They are now getting to the age that they can appreciate each other's company (despite their normal sibling rivalry over toys and attention). What I particularly enjoy about this video is Finn tapping his feet and throwing something random on the floor (food?), Niamh looking over his shoulder from behind and taking care to "park" Finn before toddling off on her own. This may be my favorite video. And I can't help but be proud of them for just being who they are with their own distinct personalities and for discovering amusement in such a simple, cooperative activity.

Yardwork

I like to help Da and Granddad with the yardwork. Strangely, my mower does not cut the grass so well and it sputters bubbles sometimes. Da and Granddad said I did a good job.

One of the drawbacks of yardwork is the occasional casualty. I love caterpillars, but this one accidentally got in the war of my powerful motor.

Easter Part II: Egg Hunting

We're in the South so a lot of hunting occurs down here. Egg-hunting is the only kind of hunting I'm really interested in: you get to find colored eggs and then when you find them you can throw them against the sidewalk and watch them crack. They taste okay later on.

Two! I'm Two. And I've got chocolate cake!

[Note: compare Finn's treatment of his cake to Niamh's on her blog. Finn's treatment is in keeping with his meticulous detail-oriented nature.]
