Firsts for Finn

A little over one month since our last post and there have been lots of changes and lots of special moments: Finn's first Halloween, first Thanksgiving and an introduction to his first move. We're settled into our lovely new home which will be more kid friendly for Finn and Sprout (and Sidney and Marley). (Thank goodness Grandpa and Mimi came to help otherwise we'd STILL be in the old house). Finn was fascinated by the movers and all the commotion that ensued. He's discovering all kinds of new favorite foods (pear yogurt, butternut squash) and learning how much fun it is to squish food in his fingers. We'll start with the newest pics first and be sure to check out the video below this posting!

Dad and I were wiped out from moving--all those heavy boxes and unpacking can wear a guy down.

Thanksgiving! Aunt Nancy and her friend Lisa generously made us my first Thanksgiving dinner and the first in my new house! Mama first fed me butternut squash, but I tried my hand at Aunt Nancy's sweet potatoes. Somehow Sid seemed to get more than I did...

Our family photo.

My last night in my first room. Daddy says I'm just like my late Grandma Carmichael because I sleep so soundly and always wake up in a great mood...

Kinda like this...

Mama said we had too much stuff so we had a moving sale. It was very cold that morning. Mama told people I wasn't for sale because people kept asking if they could take me home with them...

Later it warmed up and I got to play with Garin. He gave me this nifty outfit. (He doesn't fit it anymore).

Uncle Steve also checked out our big sale. We gave him a discount on Daddy's orange shirt.

Last month was my first Halloween. I dressed up as a pumpkin. Mama was so tired though that she forgot to put on my matching green pants so I look a little silly. That's my pal Garin. He's a duck. Ducks go "quack quack."

Finally! Aunt Carolyn comes down from Virginia and I finally get to spend some time with her. Mama talks about her all the time. We had a grand time together: she took me to the aquarium and a historic house and for lunch...
